Ayurveda UK was founded by Danny Cavanagh and Carol Willis.  Their interest in Ayurveda began in the late 1980’s when they first experienced the rejuvenating and revitalizing effects of Ayurveda.
In 1993 they trained as Ayurvedic Panchakarma technicians at the Maharishi University of Valkenburg in Holland. They later studied with Dr Vacant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico, Dr David Frawley of the American Institute of Vedic Studies and Atreya Smith of the European Institute of Vedic Studies.
They established the UK’s first fully residential Ayurvedic clinic at Oak Hall in Bournemouth and later the Ayurvedic wing at Hoar Cross Hall Health Spa. Wishing to place a greater emphasis on individual care and attention they set up a smaller, more intimate-style, therapy retreat in Staffordshire in 2000.
They specialise in detoxification, revitalisation and rejuvenation programs but also provide an exclusive 'Home Visit' service for clients in London, Monaco, Kiev, Tbilisi, New York and Los Angeles.
Over the last fifteen years they have treated thousands of clients from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, including members of the British Royal Family. They regularly see extraordinary changes to the well-being and outlook of their guests due to the power of the stress management programs they administer.
After receiving a course of Ayurveda treatments clients usually report that the weight they have lost stays off, their minds stay calmer and stress free and their emotions are more balanced and rational.
Danny and Carol’s treatment programs are individually tailored to each client and they endeavour to maintain an atmosphere of peace and tranquility; and a space of trust, openness and friendliness. As many of their clients return twice a year their Retreat Centre is often fully booked. Their Vedic Retreat is a small but cosy terraced town house in the quiet, historic village of Tutbury in Staffordshire.  Blissfully relaxing massage therapies, life-coaching and health education will fill much of your day but you'll also have a little time to explore the local craft shops, walk down to the River Dove or visit the famous Tutbury castle.  As you’ll be their only guest you’re guaranteed their undivided attention at all times.
